Dogs of the North owner Susie Rosetzky contacted us to produce a website for the dog grooming business she was running part time. She wanted to run it full time, so needed to attract new clientele. Susie has a compelling story to tell about her desire to create an alternative to large-scale dog groomers that put profit before animal welfare. It was one we wanted to help her tell. To achieve this, we photographed Susie and her ‘Westie’, Gracie in her salon. Using ‘real’ photographs – not stock images – lets prospective customers know what to expect. It's vital to Susie’s business that clients trust her to treat their dogs with care and compassion. When writing copy, we focused on telling her story and explaining her business philosophy while also including key search terms. Since going live, the site is enjoying a high level of engagement with visitors viewing three or more pages on average. In the first three months the site has received more than 300 unique visitors. As a result, Susie has seen a dramatic uptick in bookings – so much so, she’s now running the business full time (up from two days a week).
